Waite. Cushman. George H, Johnson and Feter U. Hice, both of Mapleton After the appointment of the supervisors, formal organization of the district will be effected, Fletcher said. Formulation of a soil program will follow. The referendum on the Linn' Lane Soil Conservation District in which 74 Lane County land' owners are eligible to vote, will be held Friday, Fletcher announc ed. Absentee ballots have been mailed to all eligible landowners, the county agent said, but those who wish to cast ballots at a poll' ing place may go to the Grange Hall in Coburg, the city hall in Harrisburg or the IOOF Hall in Halsey. Polling places , will be ODen from 2 to 9 p.m. A majority of the eligible land owners must approve the district before formation is possible, Flet cher pointed out, adding that as a consequence, failure to vote has the same effect as a vote against the district. They are: Dean Orlando J. Hol- lis, Charles G. Howard, professor of law; Arno H. Denecke, assist ant professor of law; and Kenneth J. O'Connell, special lecturer in law. Explains Changes The school aims to give a re fresher course in law subjects and to explain developments of the law during the past five years.
