Bride of 50 Years Ago Wears Dress Worn at Wedding REEDSFORT The A. F. 'Smith residence at Gardiner was the scene of an open house and reception Thursday, October 17, for the golden wedding anniver sary ot Mr. and Mrs. Smith. A - large number ot friends called during the afternoon and eve . nlng. Mrs. Smith wort a lace trimmed organdy dress 'which . was her wedding gown fifty years ago. Her costume wa. complete even to the high top ped, buttoned white kid shoes so fashionable at that time. She wore a corsage ot Talisman rosebuds. Her bridesmaid at the wed ding in 1896, Mrs. Annie Nelson Perkins, and the best man, James E. Smith, both were pres ent at the reception and stood with the honored couple while gifts were presented and con gratulations extended. .
