Mrs. Slattery and Mrs. Brown were appointed as critics for the work put on by delegations present. The Eugene group de monstrated initiation proceed ings. The traveling flag was pre sented to the Lebanon delega tion by Mrs. D. G. Driscoll, of the Eugene group. At noon convention delegates adjourned to the Osburn Hotel for' a luncheon. Dele gates to the state convention, which will be held at Pendleton ' in June, will be elected. Women of the Moose will meet Friday evening at the Moose Hall at eight o'clock, with Mrs. E.' D. Faulkner, heme making chairman, in charge of the pro gram. On the refreshment committee will be Mrs. S. E. Wall, chair man, Mrs. Inez Remont, Mrs. Leonard Oswald, Mrs. Wilma Thorp, Mrs. Lela A. Faulkner, in Spring field, and a card party has been planned for two o'clock Monday afternoon at the Moose Hall, with Mrs. Faulkner in charge. PARISH WORKER TALKS Emmaus Lutheran Ladies Aid Society met" Thursday afternoon at the church. A parish worker from the United Lutheran Church was introduced and spoke briefly. HONORARY MEMBERS FETED AT GATHERING The twenty-fourth birthday of Grace Lutheran Ladies Aid Society was celebrated at a meeting Thursday in the church parlors. Seated at the birthday table were six honorary members of the Society, Mrs. Emma Ziniker, Mrs. Rudolph Lettau, Mrs. Louis Gieseke, Mrs. Ida Peltier, Mrs. Lula Smith, Mrs. J. W. Wooley and Mrs. Ida Peterman. Mem- bers of the Cottage Grove 'or ganization also were guests for the meeting. Mrs. Henry Dodge and Mrs. A. J. Bueltman were hostesses for the afternoon. PRESBYTERIAN REPORTED Evening Division of Central Presbyterian Women's Union met Thursday evening at the church to hear a report on the Presbyterial held recently at In dependence, Ore. Theme of the Prebyterial was "Peace". Devotions were led by Mrs. C. H. Secoy, with "Prayer" as the topic. At the dessert a surprise birthday cake and corsage was presented to Mrs. Secoy on the occasion of her birthday. Sixteen members attended tfof meeting. With Mrs. Secoy and Mrs. Roger Bales as hostesses. The group will meet next on May 2 at the church. GROUP INITIATED BY VFW AUXILIARY Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars met Thursday evening for installation and ini tiation. New members are Mrs. W. F. Early, Mrs. James Baker, Mrs. L. McDowell, Mrs. Herbert Smeed, Mrs. Harry Benston, and Mrs. J. S. Hooker.. A social meeting of the group has been planned for April 25 at the parish hall of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, with- a pot- . luck supper at six-thirty o'clock. Committees will be announced later.
