To Wed Canadian
REEDSPORT Mr. and Mrs.
Wilbur Alvin Burdick announce
the engagement and approach
ing marriage of their daughter,
Virginia Elizabeth, to Signal
man Edward Henry Moore of
the Royal Canadian signal corps.
The ceremony will take place
Sunday afternoon at three
o'clock at the Burdick residence
in Reedsport.
Miss Burdick is a member of
the Spars and has been stationed
in Seattle for the past year. Her
fiance has been a member of
the Canadian signal corps for
the past six years, and partici
pated in the Normandy Invasion.
At present he is stationed near
Vancouver, B. C, and will be
discharged in March.
The young couple plans to
live in Seattle where both will
rc.urn to school following re
lease from the service.

the production of the cook book
to be published under auspices
of the Welfare League in Sep
