They formerly lived here. ; Two Coburg Lodges Install Officers COBURG Diamond Rebekah Methodists to Buy Service Flag Soon WENDLING The Methodist board of education met recently at the church. The Sunday school superintendent, Mrs. Clyde Starr, presided at the meeting. The group voted to purchase a service flag for the church. A committee was appointed to collect the names of all the boys from this community a n d . of Wendllng Camp 8, for the service flag. The committee consisted of Eugene Fisher, Eugene Howd, and Seth Byers. The date for the dedica tion of the flag will be announced later. Mr. and Mrs. L. L, Hobwood announce the birth of a daugh ter, Jan. 6, at the Walker clinic in Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. David McKellop report the birth of a daughter, Jan. 6, at the Sacred Heart gen eral hospital in Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Stewart announce the birth of their first grandchild. A son was bom to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Abell. He Is also the first grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Abell. The Ladies' auxiliary to the AFL will be held at the home of Mrs. Clyde Starr Monday, Jan. 17. Council Takes up Varied Matters JUNCTION CITY The coun cil in meeting this week recom. mended granting of a state license to the North Side Auto Wreckers to wreck automobiles. . R, Gibson. IN LYNX HOLLOW , LYNX HOLLOW The annual meeting of-the Lynx Hollow and Walker Telephone Co., was held recently. The Community club met re cently at the home of Mrs. Joseph Eppenbaugh with Mrs. Lyle Tay lor assisting hostess. Mrs. J. W. MacCausland was a guest, and ac cepted the invitation to join the club. The afternoon was spent working on the Red Cross wheel chain robes. The next meeting will be on Jan. 28 at the home of Mrs. Lyle Hauser with Mrs. Joseph Tighe assisting. L. Martin. Mrs. Holl ac companied the Martins to Port land Wednesday where they were guests of relatives, attending the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Ef fie Brandt, of Damascus. Mr. snd Mrs. Albert Ingram moved recently from the W. A Christiance house In Bellfountaln to the J. A. Hensyel house west of here. This house had been occu pied for several months by Mr. and Mrs. Russell Oakes and fam ily, who have rented the -Alva Martin house in the same area. 'Mrsl Ralph Hull entertained Saturday afternoon at her home at CENTRAL GRANGE MEETS CENTRAL Central Grange met Friday with 45 members present. Reports' were given' by the differ ent committees. The H. E. club chairman, Buelah Klukkert, an nounced that Theron and Jackie Swanson, Ralph and Wanda Pete old, Donald Williams, and Evelyn Skoog will serve on the refresh ments committee at the next meeting and members are asked to bring sandwiches and deviled eggs. Margret Jessee was obligated in third and fourth degrees by the master. The lecturer, Julia Haldor son, presented the following pro gram: A short demonstration of part of the work by Lennie Hold orson; a song by the grange; read ing of the jokes by Willett Jessee; a piano solo by Jackie Swanson; and a short skit by Annella Stacy, Valley Fitch, and Julia Haldersen.
