Chennault Calls for
Attacks on Japan

allies must continue to pour the
heat on Japan to prevent exploi
tation of conquered areas for war
purposes,

try a limited offensive to forestall
an allied drive "which they know
is coming" but he doubted they
plan a major move at this time.
He hinted the Japanese may be
running short of trained manpow

"The pilot here are Inferior to
those used a year ago," he said, I
"and destroyed equipment is all
new." I
He revealed Chinese pilots now
are flying in combat formation on
full operational duty with Amer
icans and said they would partici
pate in flying missions when the
weather permits.
"I defy anybody to tell the dif
ference between American and
Chinese pilots In combat," Chen
nault said.
