Wedding In South
At double ring ceremony
before members of the Third
Quartermaster battalion and
out-of-town guests, Miss Vivian
V. Levitt and Lieutenant Ob
erlln J. Evenson were married
at four o'clock in the afternoon
on June 7 by Chaplain Daniel
W. Stevens. The First Street
chapel at Fort Ord, California
was the setting for the military
ceremony.
White gladioluses, mixed
snapdragons, and candlelight
formed the background for the
wedding.
The bride wore a gown of tra
ditional white satin and carried
a bouquet of white carnations.
A fingertip length veil was
held In place by clusters of or
ange blossoms, forming a halo
around the head, while a neck
lace of pearls, a gift of the
bridegroom, accented the lace
neckline of the gown.
Mrs. C. F. Mlinar, of Car
mel, California, was matron of
honor. She wore a pink mar
quisette dress and carried a
ahower bouquet of pink roses
and blue delphiniums. Her tn.
angular head dress was of
matching flowers.

R. Dunbar who are guests of
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
A. Dunbar. They have been
in the east for some time, Mr.
Dunbar studying for his Ph. D.
degree at Harvard. They also
will spend part of the summer
visiting Mrs. Dunbar's mother,
Mrs. Virginia Judy Esterly, in
Claremont, California, plan
ning to return east in the fall.

is a native of Meridian, Illi
nois. Mrs. Hotchkiss was born
