Re-Active Club Benefit
To Be Next Saturday;
Fashion Show Featured
FIRST of several large benefits to be given during the
fall months will be the card party and style show of
the Re-Active club next Saturday afternoon, October
19, at the Eugene hotel. The party is being arranged at
one-thirty o'clock, proceeds to go to the W.P.A. nursery
school.
Many prizes are being awarded, both in auction and
contract bridge, many of them hand-made articles. Home
made candy will be served. The football theme is to be
used in decorating.

The marriage of Miss Betty
June Morris, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. R. C. Morris, to Orval
J. McPherson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. O. McPherson, was
solemnized Friday evening at a
home wedding. Rev. Williston
Wirt of the First Congrega
tional church officiating. The
wedding took place at seven
o'clock.
The service was performed In
front of the fireplace, tall
candelabrums and long sprays
of fall blooms being used for
decorations.
For the music, Donald Brown
played "I Love You Truly"
preceding the ceremony.
Miss Barbara Jean Morris,
sister of the bride, and Frank
Register, Jr., attended the
couple.
The bride wore a white taf
feta dress, cut with full skirt
and sweetheart neckline. The
veil, fingertip length, was
caught from a coronet of
orange blossoms. For her flow
ers the bride carried a shower
of sweetheart roses and bou
vardia. The bridesmaid wore a dress
of blue chiffon and her flowers
were an old fashioned nosegay.
Mr. Morris gave his daugh
ter in marriage. Attending the
wedding were relatives and a
few friends.
A reception followed the ser
vice. Mrs. Donald Brown cut
the cake. Mrs. William J. Phair
served the ices, and Mrs. A. L.
Morris poured. Mrs. George E.
Turer and Mrs. J. W. Kirby
assisted about the room.
For her going away costume,
the bride wore a suit of olive
green with brown accessories.
Following a trip to the coast
and Portland the couple will be
at home in Springfield.
