P. Meets, The T. A. P. met in regular session at the schoolhouse last week with Mrs. W. E. Eshom nre- siding. Previous to the business meeting the following program prepared by Mrs. Clifford Baxter and Mrs. II. n. Pcllett was pre sented: song by several fourth grade girls; song, fifth primary ooys; recitation, Marilyn Whit sell; recitation, Clarence Miller. Mrs. S. E. Coffman and Mrs. Chester Arthur were appointed a committee to nominate officers for next year. It was voted to donate $15 to the school library. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Clark were hosts for several guests at their home last week, entertaining for the Pinochle club and husbands of club members. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bryant, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith, Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Posvar, Mr. and Mrs. R. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kerns and Mr. and Mrs. Clark. High scores were won by Harold Smith and Mrs. Kerns, low by Elmer Bryant and Mrs. R. Smith. Refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Foster of Ringling, Mont., who have been spending a few weeks visiting at the home of the former's brother. A. A. Foster, have left for San Luis Obispo and Pasadena, Calif., where they will spend some time before returning to Montana. Mr. and Mrs. John. Long, who spent the past three lonths with relatives in Klamath Falls. San Francisco and other California points, has returned home. regular session Tuesday evening at the hall. The routine business was dispensed with and committee reports heard. Mr. LeVee read three communications pertaining to his office as agriculture chair man. The relief committee report ed on money in their fund. Com munications were read by the sec retary L. D. Shrcde.. Bills were heard and allowed. Two officers were elected during the evening and Atlun Zabriskie became as sistant steward and Laurel Edith Willian, lady assistant steward. Mrs. Elizabeth Robson announced the programs for April 16 which will be a debate on propaganda by speakers from the University of Oregon and also musical numbers from that source. For May 21 Frank Ronnie of Thurston will be asked to present his program of motion pictures and on April 2 the H. E. committee will be in charge of the lecturer's hour. For Tues day evening's program the agri culture and legislative committee was in charge of the program hour and presented a program of group singing, a talk on dairy cows by Mr. Zabriskie, a solo by Mrs. D. E. Benson; talk on the 1940 census by O. L. Clement, and a paper on soil building by Mr. LeVec. A game conducted by Mrs. LeVee and sing ing by the group, completed the evening program. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Knox of Spencer Creek grange were present for the eve ning. Mr. Knox is master of the grange and also the 1940 fair board manager. Both Mr. and Mrs. Knox addressed the grange. Thirty-one were present for the evening, in cluding the visitors. Following the evening work the H. E. club serv ed refreshments and an hour was spent in visiting. rian Service The young people of the Chris tian Endeavor society will hold their sunrise service Easter Sun day and this will be followed by a waffle breakfast served in the so cial room of the church. Several of the mothers and ladies of the vicinity have been asked to attend for the service and also to help with serving the breakfast. (Special) Next Wednesday eve ning, March 27, the school district at Waltervi'lle will hold an election on whether or not to consolidate with the Cedar Flat school district. The voting will be at the Waller- ville grade schoolhouse and every voter in the district is urged to be present to cast a ballot on this topic. Voting will be done at the Cedar Flat schoolhouse the same evening on the same topic. Rcbckahs Clean Hall The local Rebekah members have been working several days in the past two weeks on their hall and the different organizations meeting there appreciate their ef forts in making the lodge room comfortable and homelike. The carpet has been cleaned and re- laid, furniture turned about mak ing more room. The doors have been made to swing outward com plying with fire regulations. In the kitchen the wood range has been moved to the downstairs hall and cooking will be done on an elci'tric grill. Tables have been moved around giving more room for work for the committee in charge of the refreshments and food sales. The entire hall has been cleaned. The outbuildings have been re-roofed and the yard cleaned and the old part of the woodshed which was built on to accommodate the wood for the high school when it was held at the hall has been torn down and the debris burned.
