State Club Leader Visits Bellfountain BELLFOUNTAIN, Feb. 21. (Special) Miss. Helen Cowgill, state Four-H club leader, met with the Bellfountain cooking, canning and homemaking clubs recently-at the schoolhouse, giv ing them an interesting talk on judging, stressing the various points to be considered. This talk was followed by a judging contest in which all the club members participated. Eleven di visions were represented, rugs, dresser scarfs, pillow slips, pic tures, peaches, string beans, ber ries, drop cookies, icebox cookies, bread and angelfood cake. Lois Humphrey made the highest score in judging, Barbara Post placed second and Mary Lou Nystrom, third. Miss Cowgill also showed the new sewing kit she was mak ing for the county leaders, and exhibited some of the prize win ning garments made, by the" club girls, including the dress that won the blue ribbon at the interna tional Four-H exhibit. The Kundcrt Brothers came to the Bell fountain community three or four years ago from South Dakota. . 4-H Clubs Meet The first year Four-H Cooking and Sewing clubs met at the home of Mrs. ' Edward Byrne recently for a meeting of the clubs. Miss Norma Jean Holter is leader of the Cooking club with Mrs. Byrne assistant leader. Alberta Rich ards is president, Arvilla Byrne, vice president, and Donna Holter, secretary. Delores Martin was the other member of this club who was present. Miss Maxine Smith is leader of the Sewing club with Mrs. Earl Jones assistant. Donna Holter is president, Delores Mar tin, vice" president, and Alberta Richards, secretary. Doris Gragg, Alena Richards and Arvilla Byrne are . the other members of this club, which scored a perfect at tendance. Refreshments were served by Norma Jean Holter and Evelyn Byrne. Miss Stella Sankey was a guest of the club. Recent dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer G.
