1 308748 January 1, 1939 Community Club Will Hold tiean-up uay WESTFIR, Dec. 31. (Special) The Community club met in reg ular session last week. It was de cided that the cub scouts, whose organization is sponsored by the community club, would reorganize soon after the beginning of the new year. It was also decided to have a clean-up day in the com munity soon with special atten tion being given to the community hall. A group of members plan to attend a meeting of the Wild Life Federation to be held in Eugene in the near future. A Christmas program by the children of the Christian Sun day school was given at the church recently. (Special) Sample ballots were distributed to residents of Bethel last week for the special election called for Jan. 14 to incorporate the Bethel water district and to elect three directors for such district. The ballot contains a description of the proposed district which would be incorporated as a muni cipal corporation for the purpose of obtaining water for domestic use for its inhabitants. The plan is to have two meetings a year; one to be held about the close of school and the other during Christmas vacation.
