ARRANGES PROGRAM
DEERHORN, Dec. 21 (Special)
At a meeting called by Mrs. R.
T. Kooier, president of the Deer
horn P.-T. A., recently, the pro
grams for the coming year were
arranged. Plans were made to have
motion pictures at least once; a pot
luck supper in January, inviting
Leaburg society on the last Friday
of the month; a supper sale in
March to raise funds for activities
of the society; and the monthly
program committees were ten
tatively arranged. Those who at
tended the committee meeting were
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Currant, Mrs.
Osmer Stacy, Mrs. Everett Wearin,
Lester Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Dick
Potter, Mr. and Mrs. Rennie Kooz
er and Ward Koozer, at whose
home the affair was held.
PROGRAM FRIDAY
UPPER SPENCER CREEK, Dec.
21 (Special) The Spencer Creek
school will have its Christmas pro
gram and party Friday afternoon,
Dec. 23.
Harold Clouse has returned
home after spending two weeks
in California with Ed Thurston
selling Christmas trees.
STUDY CLUB MEETS
BAILEY HILL, Dec. 21 (Spe
cial) The Bailey Hill Study club
was scheduled to meet last week
with Mrs. Kenneth Nielson; but
due to illness in the home, the
meeting place was changed to the
home of Mrs. Carl Pfeiffer. The at
tendance was so small that those
present spent the afternoon visit
ing. The next meeting will be on
January 11 with Mrs. Harold Car
penter. We went to 1,000 men, asked
them to try Old Quaker now 3
yean old and give us their
opinion. We laid, "Smell it! Taste
it! Swallow a drink of it! Then
tell us what you honestly think!'
None of these men knew the
name, age or price of the whiskey
he waa sampling yet 960 out of
the 1,000 praised the rich flavor,
the mild and mellow smoothness
of Old Quaker. This confirms our
belief that 3-year Old Quaker
ricalt many more expemiet brandt.
This Means Much To You
The evidence of 960 out of 1,000
men certainly warrants your mak
ing the same simple trial of Old
Quaker. If you agree with their
Judgment about the excellence of
Old Quaker, you can probably
cut your bilU for whitkey a Urd
