Week SEATTLE. Oct. 2 WV-Cutting by 151 western Washington and Oregon Douglas fir mills was speeded up a million and a half feet last week, to a total of 93.926. 143 board feet, the West Coast Lumbermen's assocition reported today, but orders dropped off. At the rate of cuting at the mills reporting, the association said the entire industry produced 59.9 per cent of the average weekly cut during 1926-29. The previous week's production was 92,486,020 feet. Orders taken totalled 88,699.707 feet, compared with orders of 94, 592,983 feet the previous week and slightly in excess of that fig ure the previous week. Shipments last week were 89, 068.792 feet, compared with 87, 449,349 feet the previous week. The unfilled order file stood at 262,667,450 feet. Several additional enrollments for 1938-39 4-H clubs have been received in the office of R. C. Kuehner, county club agent. Fourteen boys and girls of the Disston school district have or ganized a health club under the leadership of Elta B. Hohmann. Roy Carr is president, Gene East- burn is vire-president, and Dor othy Culbertson is secretary. "The Growth and Health Pro ject" club has been organized by 30 boys and girls of the Elmira ichool. F.leanor Nichols is presi dent, LaVella Smith is viee-persi-dent, and June Woodward is sec retary. J. W. Dunn is the local leader. Twelve boys and girls of the Clear Lake school have organized a health club. Jennie Bennett is the local leader, Melven DeWitt is president, Milton DeWitt is vice president, and Edward Boqua is secretary. A health club has been organiz ed by 6 boys and girls of the Mal abon school, under the leadership of, Edna Mast. Robert Davis is president, Dick Verncm is vice- president, and Gordon Redfield is secretary. Twenty-nine boys and girls of the Hayden Bridge school have or ganized a health club under the leadership of Wanda Minter.
