Busy Tuesday By MARIAN LOWRY FOR variety of activity, few weeks bring as interesting a calendar as that filled out for the coming week. Of importance to a large group today are the season's first concert of the Eugene Chamber Music society at three-thirty o'clock this afternoon, and the guest night of the Very Little Theatre this evening with a "preview" of the organization's play, "The Fox Laughs," which is to be presented Tues day and Wednesday evenings. The mid-week's larger affair will be the reception and program of the American Association of University Women, Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frederick M. Hunter. And for those active in club work there is something doing every afternoon and evening of this week, with considerable informal entertaining sandwiched in between. Concert Interests The concert of the Chamber Music group will be in the Ger linger hall at the university, pres enting the Portland Chamber Music trio in program. Immediately fol lowing the concert, there will be a tea, arranged by the society's board members, to honor the visit ing musicians, other guests to in clude members of the board and their wives or husbands. Mrs. Hor ace Middleton is chairman for the tea and pouring will be Mrs. Rex Underwood and Mrs. Ivan Ware. Guest Night Event The Very Little Theatre's guest night will be at seven-thirty o'clock in the organization's playhouse at the fairgrounds, as a "dress oc casion." . Reversing their usual procedure members will not serve coffee be tween acts, but will serve after the play is over. At that time, too, the stage and the back-stage set-up will be thrown open for the guests to view, and members of the cast and their director, Mrs, Michael Mikulak, will come out to greet the visitors.
