Death occurred yesterday, following an apnpletic stroke. Miss Wharton will be buried In the Protestant cemetery at. Versailles to morrow. She had lived in France for nearly H5 years and hail written many hooka about this country. Short fy before her death. Miss Wharton finished a bonk of short stories for October publication, and was working on a npw novel when she died.
