Increased federal income io every Important category of taxation wan reported today by the treasury In its surrey of Internal revenue collections for the first month of the 1037 fiscal year. Income durhijr July, the treasury revealed, rose $iA72S,9(X bov co1 lections for the same month a year ago. The Increase in some item amounted to several hundred per cent. The totiil rose from $221,597,633 In July of 1U35 to $2SS,32i,539 for the same period of this year, an increase totalling almoBt 30 per cent. Publication of the treasury figures recalled the statement issued last week by Secretary MorgeMhnu. After conferring with President Jtoosevelt and congressional finance leader, the cabinet member said no additional taxation would bo asked of the. next congress. Notnble Increases included: Gains of $12,7r2,211 for taxes on liquor; rises from $14,3W.533 to $29,0rp.tJ3 from corporation income tnxe; rises in individual income payments from $0,598,000 to $11,052,000; rises in ex pecs profits taies from $174,000 to $1,048.X0; rises in estate taxes from $14,224,000 to $29,014,000; nml Hups from gift taxes from $96,000 to $327, 000. The taxes on bonds, issues of capi tal stock and conveyances yielded $2. 116.357 for the month last yenr and $2,479,000 this year. Obstetrical advice to determine whether the father's contention is pos sible was sought by the state division but authorities only aid that while it could occur it would be difficult to prove. It was pointed out that, although blood tests can indicate a certain in dividual could not have been the father, they do not establish the ab solute identity of the father. (Spe cial) The coronation ceremonies for the queen of the Hp Fiesta, to be held here August 27 to 30 inclusive, will take place on the opening eve ning of the celebration. Mayor A. L. Thomas of Independence, will crown the Fiesta ruler, and an elaborate ceremonial will be presented under (lie direction of Paul Uobison, Mrs. Elsie Holt, and Mrs. Maurice J.. But ler. Hop pickers are arriving in veri table hordes, and it is expected that at least 15,000 of these workers will be in this locality by Fiesta time.
