Jennings of Creswell were picnic dinner guests Sunday at the home of Sir. and Mrs. O. L. Stacy in honor of the birthday of Janet Stacy who is celebrating her seventh anniversary, June 11. A cov ered dish dinner was served and sev eral gifts were brought for Janet. Among the guests from other vicini ties were Mr. and Mrs. George Wil linn and daughters Fordyce and Lau rel Ediih of Upper Camp Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Benson and daughter Mari lyn James and Wayne Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Irvin, ail of Eugene, Mrs. A. The Walterville Ladies Aid society will meet Thursday, June 13. The busi ness session will be called to order at 2 o'clock. Quilting will be the reg ular work of the dny and ladies wlil arrive in the morning for this work. A covered dish lunch will be served at noon. The women nre planuing on going to Fairmount June 1!1 where they will be guests of the Fairmount Presbyterian aid. The annual convention of the Wal terville Sunday school district will be held the fourth Sunday in June, ac cording to Fordyce Willinu, secretary of the district, and will be held at Donna. This is the 23d annual con vention of the district. Each school in the district is to have special num bers for the program. Mr. nnd Mrs. H. A. Morris, A. T. Stacy motored to Cascadia Sunday " to bring Evelyn Morris home with them after she bad been there visiting her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Morris. Endicott for the present and Harry is working at the blossom farm in Cedar Flat. K. D. Jennings, Ronald Chase, George Momb and Vint Chase motor ed to Vida Sunday to play ball. Ivan Easton made a surprise trip home Sunday from Bremerton, Wash, where he is in the U. S. navy service. Mr. Easton in company with Mr. nnn Mrs. Harmon and daughter Ben nnd son Roy and Agness Marshall of Crow arrived at Walterville before noon Sunday only to find thnt his mother, Mrs. Fred Easton and sisters Erma and Nellie and brother Marvin had gone to Dexter to visit another sis ter, Mrs. Emmet Rasmussen and family for the day! After visiting a time with his father Fred Easton the party went on to Dexter to visit the otherre!atives. They also motored to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schleshley at Lowell for nn hour.
