On this account It is necessary to set the budget meet-Ins- and fix tax levy two months The new law also provides for quarterly payments of taxes instead of semi-annual payments and provides for a discount if paid in advance. Under this plan, if the entire tax lor the year is paid before March 15 a three percent discount Is allowed. No discount is given If only the first onarter is paid before that date, but If the second quarter ia paid by Blarch IB there is a 2 per cent dis count on the payment and if the third quarter is paid by June 15 there ia a 4 per cent discount on that particular payment whllo if the fourth quarter is paid by September 15 a 6 per cent discount is auowea on it.
