with a magnet in the Eugene hos
pital, and Mr. Hawkinson returned
to Cottage Grove Saturday evening.

attended the funeral of his brother-
in-law, John Vernon Hubbard, Satur
day. Mildred Bennett spent Thursday and

home of Eddie Kuppenbender.
Irraa Bennett, who has been work
ing in the Umpqua 'hotel in Heeds
port, is spending a month's vacation
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. U. B.
Bennett.
Tho funeral of John Vernon Hub
bard was held Saturday afternoon
from the Mills chnpel, Rev. Duncan
P. Cameron officiating. The pall
bearers were A. J. Johnson, Howard
Tracy, Murry Newton, Claud Huff, Ed
Heck, and G. A. Sanders. Interment
was in the I. O. O. F. and A. F. and
A. M, cemetery.
