Visitors Are Here Sunday Visitor in Salem Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rogers (Cjleo Saurwsigr- of Portland, who were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mr. Kred C. Cast. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, former Salem resident, are leaving next month for Los Angeles to make their home. Mr. Roger, who has been with the Kaiser corpora tion since he left Salem, is being transfer ml to the company's headquarters in the southern city. Thursday night Mr. and Mrs. Rogers are enttrtaining a group of former Salem residents, who now reside in Portland, at din ner at their home. Attending from here will be Mr. and Mrs. Kred C. C.J Walker, and Mr. Henty Sohutte of Topeka, Kansas, Fri day night, January 25. The! double ring ceremony was performed at 7:30 o'clock with the Rev. Phillip Ryan of Myrtle Point.j assisted by the Rev. W. H. Lyman, officiating. The altar was banked with arrangements of pink snapdragons, calla Iillips and candles. Lighting the tapers were M' Delores and Miss Vcr laine IWalker. Mrs. Merle Van Cleav sang "O Promise Me" and "Sweetheart I Love You." Miss Beverly Lyman played the accompaniments and wedding marches. Thej bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin floor length gown for her wedding. The dress was designed with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Her fin gertip, length veil cascaded from a crown of seed pearls. She car ried a bouquet of pink rosebuds, gardenias and maiden hair fern tied with a white satin bow. Mrs Walter Smith of Yakima was the matron of honor and Wore a yellow gown.. She cur ried winter blue iris, and narcis suses tied with a blue satin bow. Mrs. Phillip Ryan and Mrs. Al yin Armstrong were brides maids. They wore flowered chif fon and blue frocks respective ly and carried nosegays of rose buds, Freesias and narcissus. j Mr. Walter Smith stood with the groom as best man. Ushers were Mr. Alvin Armstrong and Mr. Charles Nixon of Eugene. ,. For j her daughter's nuptials Mrs. Walker chose an aqua blue crepe gown with brown acces sories and a corsage of pink camellias and freesias. When the couple left on their wedding trip to the Oregoti coast the bride wore a gold suit with brown top coat, brown accessor ies and a gardenia corsage. The newlyweds will make their home in Seattle where Mr. Schutte is in business. The bride is a graduate of Salem schools and has been employed in the office of Montgomery Ward and Co. Her husband has been dis charged from the army after four jears of service, two and a half years of which were spent in the Pacific area. Women of Rotary Meet Mrs. B. O. S Inn king gave an interesting illustrative talk on "Flower Arrangements" at the luncheon meeting of Women of Rotary Monday afternoon at the Quelle. Mrs. Melvin Geist pre sided at the meeting and pro gram. The tables were festive with arrangements of heather, pussy willows and red hearts. Valen tines were placed along the ta ble.
