For the discharged veteran, Red Cross home service explains his rights and benefits, files pen sion claims, helps prepare and file all necessary legal documents. If hospital care Is needed, the Red Cross: makes arrangements.' If the veteran is disabled and ' needs financial assistance, the chapter takes care of ihat. A total of 80 per cent of claims filed to the veterans administration come through Red Cross, she said. The I local froup, with Miss David, planned a quick and in tensive! campaign for the 1948 drive which starts March 1. Prac tically the same organization as that of the war fund campaign of 194S will handle this year' campaign, according to A. V. Oliver, chapter chairman, who presided at the) meeting. , Among those present at the meeting were George Kurre, 1946 drive chairman, and Mrs. Kurre, George Woods and W. A.
