Keeping up with the changing fashion tastes of American school girls Is something that keeps thousands of designers bopping, and causes untold headaches In the This year, however, there is of wants, and that's a bulky wool-knit hooded sweater. Sweaters and hoods, it seems, go together like Bermuda shorts and knee socks, and young school belles who are In the know rate them "strictly fabulous." which Is this season's highest form of praise. For skating, tobogganing or weather, the sweater with attached hood makes sense to mothers, too, since it provides top protection against icy winds. Since it is attached, the hood isn't easy to lose another important point. Girls like it because it covers the hair and ears and looks pretty dashing like pictures of ski champions In Switzerland, or something. ' There are a number of versions this season. One is a pullover in bulky white knit with bold red tripes and an attached parka.
