was ordered Wednesday by Wash

Mrs. Olive Clapper, director of
CARE headquarters here, said
she learned from press dispatches
of "very disturbing" reports that j
school children in Ceylon were
taken ill after drinking CARE
milk.
Dispatches from Colombo said
Education ' Minister W. Dahana
yake had ordered an Inquiry after
bearing that an . U-year-oJd girl
had died after drinking the milk.
He also said he had been informed
of the illness of other children,
'Mrs, Clapper said efforts to
reach CARE officials in Colombo
by telephone had failed but cabled
instructions called for aa imme

rumors a "hoax" and without
foundation, but recently many
parents have kept their children
