Dr. Poling Will Be BPW Club Speaker Anticipating the national observ a nee of United Nations Day the Salem Business and Professional Women's Club has chosen the United Nations as its theme for its October 23 meeting, when the group convenes at the Golden Pheasant for a 6:30 dinner. Dr. Paul Poling will be guest speaker with "Women's Role in the united Nations for his sub ject. The program represents joint planning of the education and international relations committees, headed by Mrs. Willow Evans and Mrs. Harmon Yeary. Mrs. Marg ery Rickard will present special music, a group ot piano selections by Gary Frame. i Dr. Derthiek to Speak 1 Dr. Charles Derthiek of Wil lamette University will meet with the Y.W.C.A. discussion group, composed of parents of teen agers, on Monday evening, Octo ber 22 at 7:30 p.m. The topic to be considered is "Social Sex At titudes". A film with that title will be used to present the subject for the tonsideration of the group All parents of teen agers are in vited to join this group, which will meet at the YWCA four more Monday evenings.
