Myrtle Myers Of Jefferson Passes at 80 ItaUiau Ntwt Strvtct JEFFERSON. Sept. 10 - Myrtle B. Myeri, Jefferson, died today at an Albany hoepiUI. She was 0. The death of Mr. Myen fol lowed that of her twin sister, Mrt. Fred Wled by three weeki and a day. The latter was killed In an auto-train crash near Jefferson. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Jefferson Chris tian Church. Burial will be at Sclo Masonic Cemetery. Fisher Mor tuary, Albany, is making arrange ments. The deceased was born June 26, 1878. near Scio. She had lived in Portland and Brownsville before moving to Jefferson 14 years ago. She had never' married. Mist Myen was a member of the Christian Church and the Jef ferson Women's Club. A brother, Edward D. Myers, Scio, survives; also three sisters. Mrs. Henry E. Albert and Mrs. Sherman Brown, both of Portland, and Mrs. Mary William, rt. Lauderdale. Fla. SDt. 20 Consolidation of the eastern portion of Ballston School District with Amity be voted on at a special election ta district boundary board. Residents quested annexation to the Sheridan A petition submitted by residents of the Ballston district to the Yamhill County boundary board listed boundaries for the area to be consolidated with the Amity high district. The petitioners seek to include the town of Ballston in the area to join Amity. The Ball ston grade school would not be affected. Aaaesailea Asked Persons living in the remaining part of the Ballston district ask that their area be annexed to the Sheridan district without a vote. ?J 23 in the county court room. Three joining school districts hsve campaigned for district con solidation with Ballston-Amity to the northeast, Perrydale to the south and Sheridan to the north west. Twenty-one students from the Ballston area to be affected by the vote are attending the Amity school this year by personal pre ference. Four students from the area are attending Sheridan High School. The Amity school board wishes to get the situation clarified by an election to determine whether the students would attend Amity, which would have, an effect, on. the. board's plans for future building in the Amity High School district. Sinnard Services Held at Sheridan BUtfimin Ntwt Strvtct SHERIDAN, Sept. 20 - Final rites for Wallace LeRoy Sinnard. 36, were held here yesterday. In terment was at McMinnville. Sinnard was born July 25, 1920, at Wellington, Colo., and came here in 1945. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sinnard, Sheridan, and a sister, Mrs. R. E. Bruce, Uklsh, Calif. Courthouse Sinking Fund Up to Voters auutaua Ntwt Strvtct McMINNVTLLE, Sept. 20 A special building committee has voted in favot of putting a special two-mill levy request on the No vember ballot to start a sinking fund for eventual construction of a new Yamhill County court house. The committee had been ap pointed earlier by Judge R. E. Renrie to represent every phase of county activity and organiza tion. Such a continuing levy would raise slightly more tban 160,000 annually. This amount would be set aside to help defray costs of s new courthouse when such con struction becomes necessary.
