The bride-elect, whose engage ment was announced recently, is a graduate of Sacred Heart Acad emy and is now employed at the state civil defense office. Three Salem Girls Pledged University of Oregon sororities pledsed 69 University coeds dur ing a four-day rushing period for upperclassmen and transfer stu dents. On the pledge list from Salem are Jane Barlow, pledged by Delta Gamma; Eileen Hanna, pledged by Alpha Delta Pi and Jeanette Siddall, pledged by Delta- Zeta. This special rushing period, used for the first time- last year, permits the pledges to move di rectly into their sorority houses before registration and bofore for mal freshman rush. Freshmen women pledged during the regu lar rushing periods are required to live in dormitories during their first year, on the campus.
