Elder .'tiles Whiting officiated at the t o'clock rites. . The church was decorated with bite chrysanthemums and red arnations. Mrs. . James Thomas sng and Mrs. William Swain played the piano. Attendants were Miss Mndaline Ttaworth. sister of the bride, as maid of honor, Mioses Carolyn Ha '.orth, a niece of the hrice, and Barbara Hart as candlelighters. Arthur Nelson of Dallas was best man and Wilfred Haworth. brother of the bride, and Glen Hart, I brother-in-law, were ushers. The bride wore a white satin dress with lace bodice and sleeves and fashioned with. a train. The fingertip length veil was caught to a' crown trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and slephanotis. . ; - The maid of honor wore a white taffeta waltz dress and her fmw ers were red-carnations. Candle lighters wore waltz dresses of red and white polkadots. A reception "was held in church parlors. Assisting were Mrs. Vin cent Haworth, Mrs. Glen Hart and 'moon ciub. The bride, born in Chuquicamata, Chile, came to Sheridan in 1952, graduating from the Sheridan high school in 1955. The bridegroom has lived most of his life with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harter. The couple will be at home in Montesano, where the bridegroom it employed. Sigma Kappa Party The Sigma Kappa alumnae will hold their annual Christmas din ner Thursday night at the home of Mra. . E. Beard celebrated their goldrn wedding anniversary at a family dinner on Sunday, December 4, at their Falls City home in Polk County. The couple's marriage took place on December 5, 1905 in Newport, Vermillion County, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Beard came to Oregon with their family in 1933 and have resided in Falls City and Perrydale since that time. Mr. Beard for years operated a farm near Clinton, Indiana. After mov ing to Oregon he worked in the lumber industry until his retire ment in 19 '.8. " ! Mrs. Beard, the former Maude G. Soger,-taught school before her marriage.
