Mrs. Lesannie Wilkins was forced to interrupt her trip, which started more than a year ago; after she sold her Minto, Me., ! farm, when - a blizzard hit this' area eight days ago. She put up her Tennessee walking horse at a ranch where she took -refuge and later moved here to live with an acquaintance, Mrs. Wilkins said authorities have advised her to obtain trans portation for her horse as far south as Lakeview, Ore., or Red ding, Calif., because of bad roads. From one of these points she will continue her ride, she said. Her, immediate destination is Los An- geles althrough she'd like to "stop off in San Francisco and see the Golden Gate Bridge," .she said. . Argentina I Three generals active in the revolt which overthrew Juan D. Peron were put out of circulation Sunday by the new regime of provisional President Pedro Aramburu. A highly authoritative source said Gens. Juan Jose Uranga and Leon Justo Bengoa were arrested by soldiers early Sunday morning, and that Lt. Gen. Julio A. Lagos, who became the army's command er in chief just a month ago, asked to be retired. . - Gen. Bengoa was appointed ar my minister soon after the revolt which deposed Peron, but quit Nov. $, only four days before pro visional President Eduardo Lonar di was ousted by the Aramburu forces. "Bengoa was reported under criti cism by younger officers who wanted a swifter, more complete purge of officers linked with Pe ron. His departure was one of the straws that broke the back of the Lonardi regime, since Bengoa had a large following in the army, too. Gen. Uranga was one of the prominent leaders of the anti-Pe-ron revolt Peron's final resigna tion was addressed to him and to Adm. Isaac Rojas, now the vice president He had been the trans port minister in the Lonardi gov ernment. He accompanied Lonardi to his home the. night he was deposed and commented that the dayU ma neuvers were "a case of treason." Gen. Lagos headed the military forces at . Mendoza in the revolt against Peron, who had dropped the general from active r?rviee only a few days before. The Lonardi regime reinstated him, promoted him to lieutenant general and made him army com mander in chief on Oct. 17. He took office as commander three days ater. Unofficial reports said the ap pointment of a new army com mander was expected momentan- ly. A highly placed member of the Aramburu government, who re fused to permit the use of his name, said other detentions in cluding those of some civilians- appeared to be in the offing. Another army general said to te on his way out is Gen. Dalmiro Videla Balaguer, now federal in- terventor (administrator) in Cor doba Province. He was identified by the informant as belonging to rightist grouping in the army eadership. This informant indicated these rightist military figures were sus pected to having contacts with na tionalistic and even Peronista minded civilians and were be lieved unhappy about the moder ate trend of the new regime.
