Miss Kaufman Betrothed to Mr Hall Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kaufman of Chebalis, Wash., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Barbara, to Gaylord Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Hall of Salem. Miss Kaufman attended Willam ette University for two years and at present is serving as secretary in the Chehalis School system. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi. Mr. Hall is a senior at Willam ette, majoring in Mology and phy sical therapy. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman and Bar bara were guests at the Hall home this last weekend. . . No definite date has been set for the wedding but is planned for next summer. The betrothal new was first revealed at the Pi Beta Phi house this last weekend, when Miss Kauf - man passed the traditional box cf candy. , ; Rebekah Lodge Holds Initiation New .members initiated at the Salem Rebekah Lodge meeting Monday nieht were Mrs. Ben Sal chenherz. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Leon hardt and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Wackerbarth. grand, was presented a quilt by the LEA Club. The F.L. Club will meet Thurs day night at the 100F Hall.
