Wheat was the weakest cereal
while rye was strongest
Wheat closed 1 cent lower to '
higher, corn lower to higher,
rye lower to 2 cents hi?hr,
soybeans unchanged to lower
and lard 5 cents lower to 50 cents
a hundred pounds higher.
Mild hedging pressure was a
factor in wheat's easiness. There
also was some disappointment
over the fact West Germany's
scheduled purchase of 2,800,000
ousheis was postponed.
December was the weakest
wheat contract, losing 1 cent. In
contrast the July delivery, repre
senting the 1956 crop, resisted sell
ing pressure. The weekly Weather
Bureau croD rerjort noted what
seeding was proceeding at a rapid
pace
