Mrs. Gertrude Jensen, chairman, said 430 acres had been acquired in a three-way deal in which the owner, Calvin C. Helrich, sold the land to Stebco, Inc., of Vancouver, Wash., who swapped the tract to the Bureau of Land Management in exchange for another tract. The BLM plans to turn the land over to the state for park purposes. The land includes Mist Falls, a cataract with a 1,000-foot drop plus a lower drop of 200 feet, and Angel's Rest, a volcanic , rock formation towering 1,500 feet above the Columbia River Highway.
