Gary Petersen, son of the Ken neth Petersens,and a senior in high school, entered Salem Me morial Hospital a week ago, suf fering with the illness. "Gipper" Broxson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Broxson, ' is ill at . his home here, and thought to be suffering from the fever. Wayne Johnston left Tuesday for Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. He was accompanied by Mrs. Johnston who will visit an aunt, .Mrs. M. K. Dobbs at Leeds, Ala. Wayne finished basic training at Ft Ord, before coming home on a ten-dav leave. At t Fort Ord, he scored first in-his company in rifle marksmanship and was presented a nedaL Odell Lott. also stationed at Ft-Ord, came home with him. He wasformer ly employed by Bill Wiederkehr of Sidney, and will he out of service in "another two months. Elma Ave. Sgt. filler recently returned from Japan and is currently with the Inspector Instructor Staff at the Marine Corp Training Center, Salem. The Kadine family moved to Medford. Moving to Dunn Center, X.D., this week were Mr. and Mrs; Wal lace Kling and family who resided at 224 S. 43th St, The family came here for the winter. Coleman WOODBURN Graveside ser vices will be held at Belle Passi . Cemetery Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Charles B. Ccleman, former resident of the Woodburo-Hubbard area who died Saturday at his home in Oakland, Calif., at the age of 46. Coleman was born at Inman, Neb., Feb. 20. 1909. He came to Oregon with his parents and spent most of his life in this vicinity until moving to Oakland 13 years ago to carry on his trade as a welder. Surviving are the widow, Inez Coleman, Oakland; brother, Har old Coleman, The Dalles; sister, Margaret Sigler and Mrs. Rulh Aubert. both of Parkdale, Mrs. Mildred BlocnrC Myrtle Creek, and Mrs. Arlene Hammcnd, Woodburn.
