2-tc i-Statesman, Salem, Dinner Will Launch Annual Commbnity Concert Drive i The Salem Community Concert Association will hold its annual dinner meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Marion HoteL Invited to attend the banquet are the executive board and volunteer workers of the association. Mrs. Lucille Schriener,. northwest representative lor Community Concerts, will be the guest speaker. " j . This meeting marks ,the opening of a four-day campaign during which new memberships will be r accepted by the association: Head quarters for the drive will be at the Portland General Electric of fices and a special telephone, with number to be publicized lat er, will be installed for those days, according to Mrs. R. D. Blatchford, membership secretary Arrangements for the dinner are being made by Mrs. William McGilchrist Jrj Dr. Wdlcbtte Bu ren. president of the association, will preside at the meeting. The campaign will close Thurs- day, April 7, after which no more i memberships can be taken. The artist committee will meet imme diately after the final results have been listed and select nest season's artists from a list includ ing the most celebrated names in the music world.
