Dominic Broxmeyer, OSB, offers mass in the chapel room of the Benedictine Village Home for the Aged here. The Rev. Mr. Broxmeyer is newly-appointed. Mass is given at 6:30 ajn. each morning for residents of the home. Knights of Pythias hunt., the hall in 1922 and it was dedicated on Feb. 22. 1923. At the reor ganization, the Knights still owed some $1,500 on the building and this has been transferred to the corporation. Incorporators are L. C. East man, Ted Lorenzen, Delbert Iver son, Henrietta Loe, Olive Morley and Marie Ekman, all members of Home Lodge, KP, and Home Temple, Pythian Sisters. Officers are Ralph Adams, president; Delbert Iverson,, vice president; Olive Morley, treasur er; Blanche Feneide, secretary, and Clarance Morley, Ted Loren zen and Anna Adams, trustees. Angel's Poetry Contest Winners Told . Statesman Newt Servict MT. ANGEL Winners in the annual poetry contest, sponsored by the Mt Angel court of the Catholic Daughters of America, were announced Monday by Miss Patricia Connell, chairman. Par ticipating were students of St. Marv's Grade School, ail Aneel Academy and Mt Angel Wo men's College. Four divisions were listed. Win ners in the first, consisting of fourth, fifth and sixth grades, are: First prize, Mary Anne Kloft; second, Jimmie Huff stutter; third, Carol Ann Wavra. . Second division, seventh and eighth graders: First, Carroll Kleczynski; second, Carolyn Hum pert; third, Gordon Wavra. Third division, second, Uiird and fourth year high: First, Mari lyn Schwab; second, Zita Stein kamp; third, Judy Foltz. Fourth division, all college stu dents: First, Marie ' Heisinger; second, Patricia Anderson; third, Margaret Bergin. Cash prizes will be awarded to each winner at the next business meeting of the CD A, April 11. The winners will read their poems. - The twelve are eligible for the state contest and state winners will enter the national contest. All poetry is on religious themes.
