The spread in prices was wide about 5 points higher to around 3 points lower in significant areas. ; Outstanding : advances by indi vidual issues were shown in steels. oils, rubbers, rails, aircrafts, and coppers. The others were mixed to lower. i : The Associated Press average of 60 stocks lost 40 cents at $152.90 with the industrials down 40 cents, railroads off 10 cents, and utilities down 30 cents, Trading was fairly active at 3.470.000 shares but the total was stiU b e 1 o w Tuesday's 3.630,000 shares , Most Grain Prices Rise , CHICAGO un Major grains showed modest advances on the Board of Trade Wednesday but rye was erratic and soybeans tilted slightly lower.
