Chapter Holds Installation Saturday Ainsworth Chapter, Order of Eastern Star held open installa- tion Saturday night at the Scott ish Rite Temple with i large num ber of guests attending. Officers installed for the en suing year were Mrs. Elma Sher man, worthy matron; v Howard Jenks, worthy patron;' Mrs. Fred Koken, associate matron; Fred Koken, associate patron; Mrs; Frank R. Brown, secretary; Mrs. K. D. Lee, treasurer; Mrs. Paul Riffey, conductress; Mrs. Howard Jenks, associate conductress: Miss Marjorie Harris, chaplain; Mrs. C. M. Doan, marshal!; Mrs. Roy Hunt, organist; Mrs. Leonard Howe, Adah; Mrs. JE.-Webster, Ruth; Mrs. O. E. McCrary. Esther; Mrs. J. R. Calvert, Martha; Mrs. John Vernon, Electa; Mrs. LeRoy Stewart, warder; and Omer Huff, entineL Mrs. J. Edtar Reay was the in Stalling matron and LeRoy J. Stewart was the installing patron, assisted by Mrs. Albert A. Cohen, I Installing marshall; Mrs. Glenn Slentz, installing organist; and Mrs. Edward Perrin, installing : chaplain. .; Miss Patty Fokel and Miss Cathy Hill lighted the tapers be fore the ceremony, assisted by Miss Mary Clare Mooney, Miss Beverly Downing and Miss Diane Ferguson. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Shlnn and Mrs. T. Gordon Bar nard were hosts for the evening. A program followed the in stallation ceremonies and a re ception was heldwith the retir ing officers in charge. Holiday Party af Meier Home The home of Mr. and Mrs. John Meier on Woodale Avenue will be the scene of a no-host dinner and Christinas party tonight for a group of friends. The Salem Credit Women's Breakfast Club will hold its an nual Christmas breakfast Tuesday morning at Nohlgren at 7 ajn. Members are asked to bring food to fill a basket for a needy family and a i present for the gift ex change. I . -. . - The Gaiety HOT Gardes "Club members met at the home of Mrs. Walter Kirk on Wednesday and Thursday to make their Christ mas decorations, garlands and wreaths. This is an annual affair for the group and each one brings her own lunch.
