StcriMmern Salem, Oregon, Wednesday NoYember 24, 1954 Army Sas No Documents Lost at Camp WASHINGTON I The Army said Tuesday it has been investi gating "the matter af allegedly lost classified documents" at Ft Monmouth, N.J., and ha$ no in formation to substantiate some published allegations. ,j A brief statement was issued in response to inquiries about a New York Daily News story saying more than 1,800 secret documents, some dealing with the Icontinental radar screen for atomic defense, still are missing from jthe Signal Corps laboratories at !Monmouth. The Army statement! said: "The matter of allegedly lost classified documents a Ft.- Mon mouth has been under; investiga tion for some time. No informa tion had been developed to sub stantiate the allegations attribu ted to former Capt. i Benjamin Sheehan in recent cress ac counts."
