The Simons retired from the busi ness in 1943. j I' - A late resident of 1381 Marion SL, Walter Simon was born at Altura, Minn., and came to Salem in 1900 with his parents, John and Sarah Simon, i Hej married Ellen Brown of Salem, and they spent, several years in Canada in ranching operations before re turning to this city to make their home. . j ; : .: . Simon attended the Lutheran Church and was a member of the Salem Gun7 Club and Salem Elks Lodge. j ;:- ; - ; . : ij Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ellen Simon; a daughter, Mrs. Ada Sischo, Salem; a sister, Mary S.
