Conn, clothing firm exe cutive, "the Legion probably would favor a blockade of the ChinA const. Use Of atomic weap- on and in general all-out war." "I personally see no sense in refusing to continue to combat now on a tour of Lemon activi ties in the West, said the Legion would support congressional com mittee actron against commun ist elements. He refused to comment on "Mc Carthyism," saying he "did not wish to discuss personalities." He said he feels "the American peo ple know what is risht and what is wrong in dealing with subver sives." In addition to "just fighting" coimnunisr Connell said the Le sion was. now more than ever. advancing its positive "American- ism" program of youth work and civil defense participation. He said he was interested in leading the Legion in a "hark . tn . r.nrf movement, and stressing of the spiritual things in life rather than the material." At an earlier talk to youths at tending the Legion - sponsored Boys State program, meeting here this week. Connell urged the teen-agers to "strongly con sider military and political ca reers" in their futures. Introduced by Da lias Nollsch of Portland, Oregon Legion de partment commander. Connell said that more than 2,000.000 boys and girls would engage in Legion sponsored activities this year. Connell was guest of local le gionnaires at an informal dinner Friday night in Salem nd then , left to participate in an initiation ceremony at the Woodburn Le- Sion post. From Portland he will go to waiia walla, Wash., and Seattle and then start toward the East. Ruin of Roman Outpost Found BUTZBACH. Germany tfv-Ruins of a Roman outpost have ben un covered by U. S.
