The Mitchells recently returned from their trip and took many pictures. Mr. and Mrs. David Rempel are observing their 25th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 14. During the afternoon friends and relatives are bidden to call on " - the silverweds at their home near Perrydale.- The. Rempels were married in Dallas and have lived In this area ever since. She has been visiting the active chapters at Oregon State and the University of Oregon. Bidden to greet Mrs. Wild are Pi Phi alumnae and mothers of Sa lem and Portland, Willamette Uni versity faculty wives and Panhel lenic presidents on the campus and Panhellenic alumnae presidents in Salem. Mrs. George Juba will introduce the guests to the receiving line, which will include Miss Barbara Jackson, house president, Mrs. Merle. Kaufman, ; house mother, , Mrs. Wild and Mrs. Kenneth Potts, resident of the Nancy Black Wal tee Alumnae club. Presiding at the tea urns wfll be Mrs. James T. This will be a benefit concert for the Oregon Latvian Society and is being sponsored by the Salem group. f ; At present the Gutbergs sisters are on a transcontinental concert tour, playing 40 engagemenst from Chicago to San Francisco and Los Angeles to Seattle. The sisters were reared in a. musical atmosphere and started playing at an early age, first on one piano, four hands, and later on two pianos. Their mother, a gifted, pianist, had been their first teacher. Both are graduates of the master classes of the world famous Musikakademie Mozart- eum in Salzburg, Austria. - -. - Since 1948 they have been tour ing throughout Europe and made their American concert debut in Boston's famed Jordan Hall in April, 1952. V . if' Miss Maxihe Hansen is Married Exchanging their vows at an t o'clock ceremony at the First Methodist Church Saturday night were Miss Maxine Christina Han sen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hansen, 'and Lloyd Fran cis Beutler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beutler. Dr. G. W. Bruce officiated at the ceremony before a setting of calla lilies, Japanese quince and spring flowers. Lighting the can dles . were Miss Florence' Davis and Miss Carolyn Meyer, who wore mist blue ankle length frocks. Henry Beutler was the soloist and Mrs. James Thompson the organ ist The bride wore a gown of Chan- tilly lace over white satin fash ioned with a floor length skirt, a high neckline and long sleeves. A lace cap held her fingertip illusion veil in place. She earned a bou quet of pastel pink calla lilies. ' - Mrs. Jack Ramseyer was her sister's honor matron. She wore an ankle length royal blue set frock over pale blue taffeta with a velvet bodice and matching stole and mitts. She wpre a blue head band, and carried a bouquet ; of pale pink camellias. Bridesmaids were Miss Bene Haverson, Miss Aleda Rehm and Miss Elsie de Vries, who wore ankle 'length dresses of pale . blue net over taffeta royal bin velvet bodices and matching stoles and mitts. Their bouquets were ' mixed pink camellias. June Meyer, cousin of the bride, and Colleen Flux, niece of the groom, were flower girls. They wore pale blue taffeta dresses, Ring bearer was Stanley Flux, the groom's nephew. Brother Is Best Man Eldon Beutler stood with bis brother as best man. Ushers were Robert Beutler, Ronald Hull, Port land, Jack Hansen, Leon Flux and James Albus. Mrs. Hansen wore a rose-beige antique taffeta dress with brown and white accessories for her daughter's wedding. Mrs. Beut- ler's gown was gray lace over rose with pink accessories. Their corsages were orchids. A reception followed in the Carrier Room.
