t--(Soc IV Statesman, Salam, Oro Than MarcK 11, ISM s Scene Of Nuptials On Friday Mica Vnth ParVipllpr daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bachel ler, and Francis Nolan Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jones, were married at an 8 o'clock cere mony on March 5 in the chapel of the First Christian Church. The Rev. W. Harold Lyman performed the rites before a set ting of spring flowers and calla lilies. D. aton Benedict was the. soloist and -Mrs. Glen Duvall of Kernville was the organist The bridal gown was of white net and lace over taffeta fash ioned with a lace jacket A coro net of seed pearls and rbinestones held in place her fingertip illu sion veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and orchids. Miss Marilyn Jones, sister.-of the groom, was the honor maid. She wore a blue net and lace bal- lerine cown over taffeta. The bridesmaids wer e 'Miss Rita Gil- man and Misf Nola Campbell, who wore-vellow and pink net ballerina frocks respectively with matching stoles. The attendants an carried colonial nosegays 01 , ., t roses and carnations and wore hpaddresses of the same flow ers. Linda Bacheller, young sister of the bride, was the junior -attendant Elaine Herr. niece of the ernnm. was flower JOrl and Ber nard Bacheller. brother of the bride, was the ring bearer. Groom's Attendants Roy Hen was his brother-in-law's best man. Seating the guests were George Carlisle and Dennis jons aneriuau. Mrs. Baflieller attended her daughter's wedding in a pink en semble with navy and white car nations an pink roses. The groom's mother wore a rose print and lace gown with black acces sories.. Her flowers were pink roses and white carnations. A reception followed in the fireplace room. Mrs.' Raymond Bones of Sheridan and Mrs. Roy Herr of Silverton poured and Mrs. Wallace Duvall of Hebo cut the cake. Assisting were Mrs. Charles Duvall, and Mrs. Douglas Bacheller of Portland. When the couple left on their wedding trip down the coast to California and the Redwoods the new Mrs. Jones was wearing a grey suit with white and blue ac cessories and an orchid corsage. The couple will make their home In Riverside, Calif., where the groom, an airman third class, is stationed at March Air Base, Bruces Honored On Anniversary ' The silver wedding anniver sary of Dr. and Mrs: G. Pember- ton and Ernest Peterson of Port land, who gave talks: Larry Han sen, vocal number; Dr. George Roseberry, talk; Mrs. Paul Silke and Mrs. George Kleen, vocal duet; presentation of a gift to the Bruces by Ray Lilly, and a solo by Mrs. Dave Ramseyer Jr. Out-of-town guests were , Mr. - and' Mrs. Ernest Peterson of Portland, who were present at the wedding 25 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. David Reid and Mr. and Mrs. Charles John of The Dalles, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allen and Mary Verne Allen of Dallas. Ruth deVries and Joyce Meyer were in charge of the guest book. The reception was arranged by the couple's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Robinson and Mrs. Harold de Vries. Mrs. Myrl Clark cut the .cake and pouring were Mrs. Sid ney Hall and Mrs. George Rose berry. , ;! Newlyweds Will Live in Spokane JEFFERSON Miss Marian sty slinger of Liberty Lake, Wn.t be came the bride of Francis J. Bom r ber in rites at St Mary's Church in Veradale, Wn., February -13. The Rev. M. P. Shiel officiated. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C Styslinger of Pitts burgh, Pa., wore a ballerina go of white nylon, embellished wi pink metallic thread. Her elbow length veil fell from a cap em broidered with pearls and sequins. Her flower were white roses and stephanotis, centered with a white orchid. ' , The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Anna Bomber of Jefferson. Miss Dorothy Styslinger was maid of honor for her sister Edward Ettling of Spokane, was best man. Ushers were Gordon Graham of Spokane and Edward Styslinger of Pittsburgh. After the wedding breakfast in the Francis Lester Hotel, the cou ple left by plane on a wedding trip to Hawaii The couple is now at home at Liberty Lake, Wn. Fear Corners Guest speaker before the Woman's Club on Thursday was lbtrt Tj Ziegler, New Zealand exchange teacher. Guests were Mrs. Fred Behr ans, Mrs. John Brady, Mrs. Mar garet G. Hooper, Mrs. Harae Cook. Mrs. Clark Bachman, Mrs. V. G. Haslett and Mrs. Hugh ' Chrisman. Mrs. Chrirman became a member. Hostesses were Mrs. E. E. Walker, Mrs. E. A.
