Woodburn Adopts New System of Fire-siren Blasts Statesman Newt Service WOODBURN A new fire- alarm system is in operation for the Woodburn rural and city areas, according to Floyd Maricle, fire chief. Hereafter, one blast on the siren will indicate that the tanker truck. is to be sent to Gervais or out on a grass or chimney lire requiring only a few firemen. Three blasts will indicate a fire involving a house, barn or build ing requiring all members ox tne fire department.
