A piano fund has been es tablished with Mrs. Walter Camp bell as chairman, and $25, the approximate amount of the re cent food sale, voted into the fund. Post Elects New Officers American Legion Pioneer Post 149 held its annual election of of ficers at its regular meeting at the Legion Club. Officers elected were as follows: commander. Al berta Shoemake; 1st. vice-commander, Mrs. Lester Perry; 2nd vice-commander, Mrs. T. D. Gra ham; adjutant, Sabina M orison; service officer, Florence Camer on; finance officer, Marjorie How ard; chaplain,. The con tents of this box were to be sold and the proceeds to go to a wor thy cause. All items in the box, scarves, little cups, pictures were lovely and sold immediately. Harriott Belcher, finance of ficer, is back after a three week vacation to Boston. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Walter Hewitt, 1920 Belle- vue Ave. on June 5. This will be the last meeting before conven tion which is June 17-20 at Sea side. Delegates nominated to at tend are Mrs. Walter Hewitt, Miss Alberta Shoemake, and Miss Mar jore Howard, alternates Mrs. Genevieve Dohse, Velma Davis, and Mildred Christenson. Hathaways to Celebrate Friends are cordially invited to attend an open house honoring Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Hathaway on their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 24 between the hours of 2 and 5 o'clock. Mrs. Viesko a Club Hostess Mrs. Fred Viesko was hostess to the Sigma Kappa mothers at a luncheon on Tuesday afternoon at her country home. This was the last meeting of the season for the group. After the luncheon the women were taken on a tour of the gardens. Election of officers was held with Mrs. Glenn Weaver named president; Mrs. Bruce Crandall, vice-president; and Mrs. Vera D. McMullen, secretary - treasurer. The United Commercial Travel ers Auxiliary will meet at the Salem Woman's Club Saturday night at 8 p.m. Plans will be made for the convention to be held in Portland May 28-30.
