man was reported to have drowned
Saturday in the Snake River when
his jutboard-powered boat over
turned in a rapids.
The victim was reported .to "be
Bui Brokaw, about 60. State po
lice said Sunday they were told
by Harry Meek of the Richland
area that he saw 'Brokaw's boat
go into the rapids and capsize,
about six miles below Brownlee
Crossing.
The body was being sought

Morley, 49, Pacific Northwest lum
ber executive, died Sunday while
attending church services here.
He was president of the Western
Logging Co. and Gladstone Boom
Co., both of Portland, and the
Saginaw Timber Co., Aberdeen,
Wash. He served for eight years
as president of the Lumbermen's
Industrial Relations Commit
tee and was a past director of
the West Coast Lumbermen's As
sociation, and a director of the
Columbia River Log Scaling Bu
reau.
Survivors include the widow.
Louise, two sons and three daugh
ters.
Expedition to Explore
Greenland Snowbank
FT. EUSTIS. Va. W An expe
dition to explore a two-mile deep
snowbank and a moving glacier
in Greenland is scheduled to leave
the transportation center' here by
May 1, the army announced Sun
day. The expedition, the Army said.

mated to be nearly two miles deep.
