The bank's new service will in clude sidewalk teller windows on State Street, where customers can do business after, the bank lobby closes. Three teller windows will be open for business from 3 to 5 pjn. Monday through Friday and from noon U,5 pjn. Saturday. Windows are of stainless steel and bullet-resistant . glass. Rex Gibson, vice president and manager of the bank, said the side walk facility will - permit check cashing, deposits to checking or savings accounts. Procedure for sidewalk banking is simple, Gibson explained. The customer places money or checks in a drawer at the teller's window and then slides the drawer in. The teller completes the transaction; giving the customer his money or, in. the case of the deposit, his de posit book. Teller and customer may carry on a conversation by means 01 a micropnone arrange ment. The service is for "both businesses and individuals and covers check ing and savings account deposits as well as the cashing of checks, and payments on notes. TwirpWeek' To Give Boys Dating Break 'Twirp Week," the week that girls are officially required to take on all social responsibilities of the boys and vice versa at Salem High School, will begin Moonday. Highlight- of the week will be a? girl-ask-boy sport dance after the district tournament game ' March 6. . General chairman . for "Twirp Week" and the dance is Jackie Jones, second vice president of the student body. Official rules for the week are: . (1) Boys can't be unreasonable. (2) Boys are not to ask girls out. (3) Girls are to ask boys for dates (may phone boy). (4) Girls are to open doors for boys (in cars also.) (5) Girls are to carry books for boys. 6) Girls to pick up boys and take them home. (7) Girls are to pay for gas or furnish transportation. (8) Girls are to help boys put on coats 9 Girls are to walk on outside of sidewalk. , (10) Girls are to help boys with homework. (11) Girls are required to give their dates a corsage made oUt of anything but flowers. The cor sage will be worn by the boys to the "Comic Capers" aftergame dance. .This set of rules was drafted by Ernie Drapela, Dick Hornaday, Norm Luther, Bob Payne, Ron An derson, Phil Burkland and Neal ScheideL Decorations for the dance will consist of drawings of well- known comic characters in car rying out the theme.
