Huggins Jr. . . . they are arriving on Christmas Eve and will be here until Dec. 29 . . . Also joining the family here will be the Thompsons other daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Hoa gland and children. Tiffany and Cole, of Palo Alto . . they will come north the day before Christmas and remain a few days . . . The Thompsons will visit the Hoaglands in Palo Alto enroute east . . . Mr. and Mrs. Huggins will be hosts for an informal open luse on Dec. 26 between 4 and o'clock in compliment to their visitors at their South Liberty Street residence .... Frem California . . . have come Mr. and Mrs. Dorane Humphrey (Virginia Covert) and sons. Danny sad David, of Redwood City to bit their parents, Mr. and Sirs. L. 8. Covert and Mr. and Mrs. h A. Lucas (Mary Beth Show) and children, Dan, David and Barbara, who have been living at Camp Gordon, Ga this is their first visit home in three years and while here will be at the home of Lt. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Lawrence CrenneU, Mrs. La Vern Berguson presided. During a brief business meeting, the group voted to resume the library story hour on Jan. 19 with Mrs. Ronald Syron in charge. The story hour will be at 1 o'clock at the public library. A food sale was also planned by the group for Jan. 10. Two new members were accept ed, Mrs. Robert Bentley and Mrs. Ernest McClain. During the pro gram hour Mrs. Bentley enter tained with three pantomime musi cal numbers. The next meeting will be Jan. 6 at the home of Mrs. Ronald Sy ron and a white elephant sale will oe Matured. Mrs. F. G. Rankin and Mrs. Wil liam Aahby entertained the Kappa Delta alumnae at the former's home Wednesday night. During the . evening there was Christmas music and a gift exchange. Sims will be honored at a recep tion commencing their golden wed ding anniversary, Sunday after noon. December 21 at the South Salem Friends Church. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Sims are invited through the press to call between 2:30 nd 5 o'clock, Mr. and Mrs. Sims were mar ried December 24, 1902 in Hamil ton County, Indiana. Hagedorn was in charge of the program. Mabel Lockwood, the national pre sident, gave the Christmas mes sage, which appeared In the December issue of the War Moth ers magazine. The. mothers sang carols and Mrs. Curtis gave a group of her own readings. Mrs. Freda Cogs well was in charge of the Christ mas baskets for members who are ill. Mrs. Lockwood presented gifts to Mrs. Glen Pratber, president, and Mrs. Ben Randall, hospitali xation chairman. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Bessie Gray son, Mrs. Goldia Kyle and Mrs. Edith Morley. The Jan. 6 meeting will be held at the American Legion Club, the future meeting place for the mothers. Guests have been in vited to call after 8 o'clock. Christmas Party Held Annual Christmas party at the home of Miss Karl BJornerud on Union Street was held Wednesday, Dec 17. About 43 guests were present. A Norwegian smorgasbord and turkey dinner was served. Decorations were the Christmas motif with red and green candles, holly, mistletoe, and an old fash ioned Christmas tree.
