They were Ronnie Duane and Scottie Funkhouser, 7 and S. sons of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Funk houser. Twelve other Funkhous er children, ranging in age from a few weeks to IS years, were asleep In the house when the fire broke out at about 11 pjn. They all escaped. The parents were reported to have been away from home when the fire started. John Paterson. a neighbor, dis covered the fire and turned In the alarm. He said the entire up- stairs, where Ronnie, Scottie and one other child were sleeping, ap peared to be tn flames. The other child escaped. Ronnie and Scottie also were brought out of the burning building but one was dead and the other died later. Fire Chief John Thome said the fire probably started from de fective electrical wiring.
