Morton Booth officiating and Interment at Lebanon I OOF Cem etery.1 ' .,' f Pate died Thursday of a heart attack while visiting friends. The ton of James W. and Viola Archi bald Pate, Oregon pioneers. Pate was born at Jefferson Feb. 18, 1880, living in Jefferson until 1908. He attended the Looney Butte School and was later grad uated from Oregon State College. In 1908 he came to Albany and established Pate Creamery, oper ating it until 1943 when he re tired. He was a member of the i First Presbyterian Church and the IOOF and BPOE Lodges. Twice married, hi first1? wife was Belle Dona c a whom he mar- mAA 4 C.Im I 1(111 CU. J I a J 1944 and on Nov. 16, 1947, in Al bany he married ;Mrs. Mabel ' Beauchamp. She survives as do a daughter, Mrs. Nathell Irwin, Carmel, Calif.; two step-children, Mrs. Harlow Weinrick, Albany, and Dr. Harvey Beauchamp, Hay ward, Calif.;: one brother, James G. Pate, Jefferson; also three sis ten and one grandson.
