We want them keyed to today's tempo of living. We DONT want them to be rubber-stamp copies of our neighbors. That's what makes home decor ating and furnishing such an ex citing challenge. It's the way YOU combine colors, arrange furniture, select furnishings and accessories and add all those indefinable little touches of unexpected whimsey (or granduer) that makes your home an expression of YOU. That s what gives it individuality and distinction. Sets it apart from all others. Several touches of charming or iginality are evident in the effi cient kitchen-dining room sketch ed above. Background has peen planned around the birch hutch. table and chairs. (Maple or pine would be equally eiiectiv.) Walls and woodwork are soft Copenhagen blue. Linoleoum floor is cherry-red. white seersucker (needs no ironing) curtains have cherry-red and blue trim. Pin-up lamp .(between -windows) -with red shade adds a note ox whimsey Extension table has drop leaves that fold down when not in use. Hutch provides handy place for dishes . . . also drawer space for linens and silver. 11 you feel unsure of your ideas feel that you can t go ahead with your borne decorating un aided then by all means come in and have a talk with our friendly, trained staff.
