The fall as measured by the Associated Press average of 60 stocks came to $1.50 with the av erage standing at. $107.20. That is the heaviest drop of the year and has not been exceeded since Oct. 22, 1951, when the av erage was off $1.60. The decline was negotiated with the transfer of only 1,090,000 shares. The first weakness appeared in the railroad division, which has been in the forefront of so many recent advances. At the same time there were exceptionally wide losses in a few . of the higher priced oils. With the Associated Press av erage of 60 stocks down $1.50 at $107.20, the industrial component fell $1.60, railroads were down $1.. ', and utilities were down 40 cents. i disturbing feature of the bulls was poultry the lack of anything resembling a "faor"1 "eM I Colored i Hens rany aiijr mire. - - Colored Frvers T1TI A.
